An ancient evil that threatened the world millennia ago has risen again, spreading through the lands slowly, killing and corrupting all that stand in its way. The Kingdom of Vediston prepared for this threat by locking down the kingdom, telling the people that they were at war with a neighboring kingdom, and keeping them from the truth. After that, the Coterie initiative was enacted. This program pulled forgotten children from the streets of Vediston and turned them into highly skilled pairs of warriors over the span of many years. The mission of these Sentinels is simple. The unconditional defense of the kingdom, and to ensure the public remains in the dark about the situation.
