**Some Lore**
In 19 BBY Palpatine was exposed and over 75% of clones were able to get their chips removed, although many were killed or locked up. Without the chancellor the Jedi and Republic Army separated since the Jedi had no more intention to fight the war leaving the Republic to fend for itself. The Old Republic was falling so a group of Clone Commanders took charge and started the New Republic Uprising to stop the Droid Army once and for all.
