"The Rebellion has won the war! With the death of Emperor Palpatine at the Battle of Endor, the Alliance to Restore the Republic has become the New Republic. Now during the New Republic Era, war reparations and disarmament treaties reduced the once-mighty Empire to a mere rump state, with one remnant state forced to remain within predetermined borders of the Core and Inner Rim. Many planets were left destroyed or ruined from the war, with refugees having fled to other planets. Many are questioning the next moves of the New Republic. While the remaining Rebellion is working to help all those displaced, the process has been slow. With so many territories left lawless without the oppressing force of the Empire to control them. Here in the Outer Rim, anyone can become anything. Gamble, kill people, steal, we don't care!! Out here, everyone is free."
