The Echeorian Macrocosm is a sci-fi fantasy roleplaying server set in a fictional universe adjacent to our own. When humans on Earth discover faster than light travel (and, consequently, extra-terrestrial life), they do what humans are prone to do and colonise. Tiberius Echeorian, a billionaire resposnible for funding the discovery of faster than light travel, quickly took up the mantle of leader and, despite the protests of Earth's existing world leaders, he was recognised universally as the emperor of Earth. Earth's empire expanded.

Tiberius Echeorian is long dead (humans have always had such short lifespans), but he left behind a dynasty. Several generations on, Khardur Echeorian sits at the throne of the Empire. Many rebel sects have risen up to oppose the oppressive empire, but the empire continues to conquer, leaving only the most isolated of planets out of its iron grip.
