In a city you live, there was a cult of wannabe mages, astrologers and phony occultists. They were mostly delusional losers with 8-th grader syndrome, who shared urban legends and made-up rituals. That is, until somehow, one of them stumbled on a ritual that worked. They called to void beings from the Outer Dark, at first summoning minor entities - no more than parasites with supernatural benefits. Those who started summoning these creatures, were contacted by something else. An otherworldly being, wearing a human mask, feigning benevolence in exchange for favours. He taught more and more powerful rituals to them, granted supernatural abilities to anyone who dared to ask. All to set up his domino pieces for the collapse of normality. Soon his cultists, blinded by their newfound power, have begun summoning much worse abominations to send after their enemies. Once the veil between the worlds was sufficiently torn, the city was enshrouded in unnatural fog - and the summoned abominations slipped from their masters' control to feed on human population. They stalk their victims, feeding off their fear in much the same way they feed of their meat and bones. You find yourself in a wrecked subway car, somewhere in the underground tunnel, together with a few other survivors. What do you recall? How did you manage to escape the carnage above? Is there someone dear to you that you must try to find and protect? Will you try to escape the city or find the source of the otherworldly corruption and stop it? Were you one of those who received supernatural powers as gifts?
